In case I missed ya...

Bennett Boy

Luckily fall hits like 3 months later here in Nevada than in Utah because I missed getting pictures up there with all the pretty leaves before we left.
I haven't had my camera out very much lately...mostly because this little bugger is impossible to get a picture of. He pretty much refuses to look at the camera anymore! But the other day the leaves were too tempting.

This year for Christmas we are trying to do lots of extra acts of service this month. Bennett came up with this one all on his own. He swept all the leaves off two big long sidewalks "so people could walk better".

The next picture takes a little explaining...so bare with me!
Bennett has never been into any arts and crafts and especially coloring or writing...until about a month ago he hasn't even known how to hold a pen/crayon.
Right before we moved he started using this little magnet board you can write on (like a miniature magnidoodle). I was so happy because it's the first time he's ever doodled or colored...like EVER. One day when we were packing up a box he asked to write on the box so Kenny let him. The next day he wanted to write on some packing paper, so we let him and I told him to write some letters. Next thing I know he had written out A-H and since that day he all the sudden can hold a pen and write almost all the letters capital or lower case. He also went from the kid in nursery who never had a thing colored on his papers to the kid who won't stop coloring until every millimeter of the paper is covered.

There is a guard at Kenny's parents front gate who loves Bennett and always has snacks and water for him. Her name is Arlene and he must have thought we were calling her "our"-lene because while we were here this summer he constantly corrected us and said she was not "our"-lene she was "my"-lene. He still calls her "my"-lene.
One night for our service we made her some treats and I said to him we were going to write her a little note...I asked him what we should write.
After sitting there for a few minutes thinking about it he blurts out "quarter note".
We all died laughing...and that is why there is a quarter note on her note!
He wrote "mylene" and "bennett".

It's Time...

to update!! so here it is...

Kenny got a job
Two actually
the first in Utah, that fell through...weird circumstance and very sad day!
...not to worry, got another job in Las Vegas.
Us, we are thrilled.
strange to think he's a real attorney now, and not a student, that's all I've ever known him as.

So obviously...we have moved.
So glad to be back in Vegas.
Poor Ken did most of the hard labor of this move while I gave directions from a sitting position.
Living with his saintly parents who've taken us in for a while.

Bennett potty trained.
Then we moved...
Then he decided he likes to poop his pants again.
Joy.
Or should I say frustration...
Good thing he says hilarious things like "that's an igoodea" (good idea)
...and things like "mommy you are my best friend"

Little miss baby Naomi is growing!
fast
I had a real hard time putting socks on yesturday.
Can someone come over and paint my toe nails?
So extremely beyond words thrilled to have made it to 32 weeks and no bed rest!
Trying to come up with creative idea of something Kels can paint on my belly...any ideas??
My brain has officially shut down...
...can you tell by this really weird post.
This is why I haven't been posting, sometimes it's just hard to form full sentences that make sense!

In other random news...
My precious sister Bobby is selling these adorable key chains and earrings to raise money to go to India to help do dental work. Here is her face book with all the pictures of what she's selling: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2788128548894.2155514.1428738527&type=1

Hoping next post includes pictures, and something more interesting for you to read. But I'm making no promises until this little girl makes her entrance!  However I'm not retiring the blog, just on maternity leave.
For now...as my favorite friend from France likes to say...
kiss kiss!

Holiday Sessions

I am a little late this year! I was in the canyon on Sunday and the leaves are PERFECTLY beautiful right now! So it's time, time for...
UTAH: I will be offering holiday session through the month of October, so book quick! I most likely will not be taking anymore shoots until after this little baby of mine makes her entrance! If you are interested e-mail or call me for pricing.

LAS VEGAS: I am possibly planning a trip the first week or so of November if I book enough shoots. If you are interested in pictures let me know!!

my gorgeous friend carlee and her little eli...

I use 'little' lightly...this precious baby Eli was a whopping  9 lbs. He  was already squishy and ready to squeeze when he was born. And he just had his week check-up and has hit 10 lbs. I think we have a future football player on our hands, which I KNOW would thrill his parents :)!

This is probably a ridiculous amount of pictures to post, but I just couldn't narrow it down anymore! They were all too adorable!

Carlee is one of my most favorite friends! Someday when we move away I will have some serious withdrawals!

Hope you love these as much as I do Carlee!

Can I just say...to get a picture like this all the stars have to line up perfectly, and they just so happened to the other day! The weather was perfect, the lighting gorgeous, and the wind was non-existent, and not to mention the amazing backyard we had to shoot in!

Do you not just love these luscious little lips of his!
Carlee you are seriously beautiful!
 Such a cute mama
In about a week I did maternity pictures, the birth, and then these newborn pictures... after all that I am itchin' for this little nutterbutter of mine to make her entrance! To say we are all excited and anxious would be the biggest understatement of the year. I LOVE this newborn stage and can't even wait to hold and cuddle and smell and squish this little girl of ours.

Of all the things we are someday going to miss about Utah, we decided Provo Canyon is at the top of our list (aside from all of our friends of course)! We love our bike rides and walks and parks and waterfalls and all the trees in the fall and great places for photo shoots and our latest favorite tinfoil dinners.

and just because i think it's hilarious, and am accumulating a lot of these type of pictures...

How cute are they...

You guys sure make cute kids! Hope you love them, I think they/you guys are adorable!

Bragging Rights and Blessings

While in law school every law student is required to write a big ol' paper for their substantial writing class. I read over Ken's before he submitted it and let's just say I only understood every few words and it was over 30 pages long! He spent over 100 hours writing it...in other words this was no easy task! With the suggestion of one of his professors he decided to submit it to a national writing competition to be published. This morning he found out he won first place nationally and will be published in an estate planning type magazine (ACTEC Law Journal) that has about 4 publications a year! I couldn't possible be more proud and happy for him! (because most people don't read or are familiar with estate planning magazines I decided this would be like a fashion photographer being published in Vogue :)

Although we would love to find a job soon and are extremely anxious for that next stage in our lives, we are completely at peace and know it's in the Lord's hands and are not worried about our future. With that said, it's been so hard as a wife to see how hard Kenny has worked and see how well he's done in school just to finish and feel a little defeated because no one is hiring. So I was thrilled that he won this so he could see some of all of that effort pay off for him. Not to mention there was a cash reward that just so happens to be a huge blessing to us right now!!

Thank you so much for all of your nice comments about our little nutter-butter! I realized I should have said that although I was a lot more sick this time, I am feeling perfect now. After getting over that 14 week hump I've felt GREAT! (and to be really honest I am the biggest wimp you'll ever meet when it comes to nausea...I'd rather pain or dental work or anything over feeling nauseous)

Our lives...in bullets

Kenny
- still on the job hunt, we've expanded our search to anywhere that snows less than 6 inches a year
- considering applying for golf reality TV if the job hunt continues in it's current course
- playing lots of tennis
- working for an old proffessor doing research
- recently passed up wake-boarding at the lake for fear of it messing up his golf game two days later, need i say more (golfer's anonymous here we come)
- took and hopefully/did passed the bar two months ago
- wakes up with Bennett and let's me sleep in EVERY morning and keeps my kitchen sink clear of dirty dishes...currently top candidate for the best husband of the year award

Bennett Boy
- said to me last night, "sorry darnit"...and is picking up any and all 'potty talk' he hears (some of his favorites are stupid, what the heck, and butt)
- has made a HUGE break through in potty training...he pees in the shower...every time...(this is a GINORMOUS accomplishment for him!)
- started up music class again and loves it
- is 3 1/2 and still cannot sleep through the night, last week there were 2 nights he woke up at least 4 times to crawl in our bed!
- follows up every sentence we say with WHY?
- is finally eating again after making him an ingenious food chart, who'd of thought
- still has not hit 30 lbs
- has an amazing memory for places we've been and who've we've been there with
- has his daddy's sweet tooth, doesn't like cookies, candy, or any other sweets kids love but can inhale any donut, muffin, or root beer put in front of him
- says the most hilarious prayers and often points to everything he's thankful for
- loves the temple and asks when he gets to go

Me
- started dinner group again and as always LOVE IT
- been filling in a lot in nursery, getting nervous they may be getting ideas of a permanent occupancy! (loving going to relief society these days)
- got lightroom and trying to figure out all of its goodness
- wish I could burn my entire wardrobe and start over (anyone else ever feel like this)
- although I'm wishin' and hopin' and prayin' for that job, I just love having Ken around to play everyday
- am extra anxious for fall this year for some reason
- and am relishing every last minute of being PREGNANT with a precious little GIRL

....yes you heard the last one right :), as of January we will be a family of 4 and I don't think there's any possible way we could be more happy and excited or feel more blessed! (i figured if you've read this far you care about us enough to hear our exciting news :). I hit the half way mark next week. This pregnancy has been a lot different than Bennett or the others. I've been a lot more sick so Ken has thought from the beginning it was a girl. I've had a lot more aches and pains and have had to be pretty sedentary which makes me feel very lazy (especially when I run out of breath just walking up the stairs...but besides all that I love being pregnant. I'll take all of the discomforts any day to be able to have another precious little baby! I'm just praying this little girl has long luscious eyelashes, beautiful curly hair, big striking eyes, and an adorable little face just like her big brother. I'll feel real bad if she has a beautiful brother and isn't that cute!!!

Thanks for reading! Here's a little of our bordum (maybe weirdness) for you to enjoy.

For the White-Fam

Alrighty family of mine, here they are! Sorry they took so long, the rest will be coming on the CD! But I think we are just dang cute! Hope you're all happy with them, groups of 18 aren't necessarily my expertise...

8.29.2011

I've been majorly neglecting posting all the photo shoots I've had lately, but this one was way too cute to not post! These two little girls were just precious as can be! Don't you just want to squish those cute little rolls...
