Last Night's 10 Minutes Dinner

Last night, got home late, didn't want to cook...but here's what I came up with, and as Rachel would say...DELICIOUS!

grounds turkey
lipton onion soup mix
Famous Dave's spicy bbq sauce
and spaghetti!

If you haven't had bbq spaghetti, try it! I don't really love spaghetti, I'm really weird but tomato sauce and noodles just don't go together to me...red bbq sauce and noodles though, yum!

So I went grocery shopping on Monday night. I saved BIG!!! It was so exciting. Sorry, I didn't take a picture...but here's the run down:

Total Value: $194.45 (I think the most groceries I've ever bought at once)

64% savings (and just a side note this trip included all my produce for the week, Easter candy, 2 bags of shredded Italian cheese for my delicious stuffed zucchini, and ground turkey)

Ok, so if you haven't found out about Grocery Smarts yet there's no excuse to not try it out! It's been great for our family, and I love grocery shopping these days. I am having a class at my house next Thursday, March 5th. If you don't live by me, my sister also teaches these classes in Las Vegas (contact her through the Be Smart Buy Smart blog, there's a link to the right). Did I mention the classes and website are totally free! I know...too good to be true, but it is.

For those of you that now think I'm crazy due to the last post, let me redeem myself with a few normal posts! Kelsey was here that week and we just had way too much fun. We ate lots of good food, shopped a bunch, played, did some yoga, and had an outrageously fun photo shoot. The pictures were pretty funny before photoshop, but we both got the best ab workout we've ever had touching those babies up, so it was all worth it! We just love when she visits, and she is coming again in just 2 weeks, we can't wait!

So the 17th was mine and Kenny's 3rd anniversary. I can't imagine life without him, or imagine what I ever did before I had him...so it seems like we have been married much longer then just 3 years. But I have loved these 3 years. Heck who wouldn't if you got to wake up to this adorable face everyday!
For our anniversary we went to Phantom of the Opera. It was a great show! We had so much fun.
Unfortunately a bee stung my face when I wasn't looking....ok, not really but my face is fat in these pictures. I parted my hair on the other side, must be from that. Note to self, don't change part!

Bennett is so entertained now that he knows how to stand up on things. He loves to stand and look out our window!

Bennett finally found our stairs! He already tries to go down them and we knew it was only a matter of time before he tried to go up them. Guess it's time for a gate.

He's also learning to cook.

Sleepy Boy

One night Ken and I went in to check on Bennett and this is how we found him. We were laughing so hard and then taking pictures and he never budged. We find him sleeping in this position quit often.
We can finally, and happily I might add, can say that Bennett is sleeping through the night!!! Yah!!! I really hope I didn't just jinx it. I remember when he was 3 months and I was so tired from waking up so many times at night thinking..."its ok, he will be sleeping through the night soon". It's a good thing nobody told me that wouldn't happen for another 7 and a half months! I can't even tell you what it means to not have to wake up 3-6 times a night anymore, it makes me want to cry!!! :)

Wanna Be Goumet Chef

So I'm definitely not a food photographer, but this was good nevertheless. Tonight I made Applebee's Creamy Tortilla Soup. It was really good although next time I will probably substitute the Velveeta for real cheese (Ken and I aren't so much the Velveeta fans). I also added a little lime juice and left out the jalapeno, it was spicy enough without it. We ate this with one of my most favorite foods...homemade pico de gallo (I could eat a lot of this and never get sick of it!)

I love all the copycat websites. Recently I've made Outback's Alice Springs Chicken found here and Macaroni Grill's Penne Rustica found here (just don't read the nutritional infomation on this!)
