After I just wrote the title of this post it reminded me of something. Bennett has started waking up early, at least for him (and for me!). When he runs into our room in the morning he says...and this is a direct quote "The sun is up up up, time to play, the moon is down down down, get out of bed, get up, time to wake up", and he says this as he pulls our arms out of bed. This is our daily alarm clock these days, it's really funny (most of the time :).

The most miserable hour of the day...
Tonight at dinner Bennett dumped his plate upside down on the table because I told him he had to eat it before he could drink lemon-lade (as he calls it). Then he proceeded to hit Kenny and I one at a time to show he wasn't happy with us making him eat...in slow motion, I think he thinks he won't get in as much trouble if he does it slower. Little turkey. Good thing he has those puppy eyes to save him! And good thing we live in Utah so I didn't feel as guilty when I stuck him in his car seat while Kenny and I finished our dinner in peace (don't worry, it was really only for a second and we were sitting by the window watching him the whole time). I hate dinner time! Any suggestions on how you make a 3 year old eat dinner?!?!

He did it!
Kenny is finally done! I can't even believe it yet, it doesn't seem real to either of us. Last Thursday was the beginning of our celebrations. In the afternoon there was the Commencement at the Marriott Center with all of the graduates from BYU. Elder Scott was the main speaker. I've never heard such good graduation speakers, it was like being at conference!
I love this picture of Kenny with his parents, I think it's so cute!
On Friday we had the Law School's graduation. The picture above, we decided to take last minute and were in a big hurry. There was a ton of people taking pictures in front of this sign so we just stuck Kenny off to the side to get a picture with "Brigham Young University" in the background. He ended up seeing a family friend there and finding out about a potential job in Vegas. Now his mom is never going to let him live down how important it is to take time for pictures :).
The two pictures below are in the wrong order, but this is him getting hooded and then his picture taken with the Dean of the Law School.
(Doesn't Bennett just look like a little GAP model...I bought this coat for him forever ago and had yet to have an occasion to put him in it!)
I'm so appreciative of Kenny's family coming up and supporting him in this HUGE accomplishment. It was so nice to be able to celebrate as a family.
We have made so many great friends up here the last three years. We are so sad to all go our separate ways. I remember before we left for school someone telling me that the friends they made during law school are some of their best and life long friends, and I completely feel that way about so many of these people. The great thing is we have lots of places to go visit all over the country now!
I LOVE this picture of Kenny. I can't believe we are finishing this part of our lives. We are excited for so many things and to not be students anymore, but there are a whole lot of things I think we will both miss too. However, I don't think either of us are going to miss all the hours of studying!
Kenny did such an amazing job the last three years. Despite titling this blog "law school widow", he always put Bennett and I and our family first. He is amazing at balancing so many things. I'm so grateful to be married to such a hard worker and so proud of him for accomplishing this.
I love you Kenny Lee...and you looked dang sexy in that cap and gown! I don't think even Dr. McDreamy could look that good in a cap and gown! Way to go Babe...and on to our next adventure!

Sigh
...a BIG FAT sigh that is, sigh of relief! Ken is done done done! (we will ignore the BAR prep-class, studying, and actual test for now and just relish in this momentary ecstasy). I am so proud of Kenny...but more of that to come later with all of the millions of pictures we took over the week.
In the mean time, we have been going a hundred miles a minute it seems like for the past 5 days straight, so if you are one of the 50 people that have e-mailed me and I haven't gotten back to you, I will be doing that Monday.
And just to top off this post, Bennett was in bed a few minutes ago and called Kenny up. He kept yelling "come here daddy, look at my finger". Kenny yelled back "what's on your finger?", Bennett yelled back to come look. Ken went upstairs and Bennett held out his finger for him....it was poop. Awesome. So glad I wasn't home for that one! That was a first, let's hope it was a last too! And thanks to aunt Sesy Bennett has had a "baby" in his shirt half the day today. He even asked to sleep with it. The baby cried today because of the rain. The baby also happens to be a blue squishy ball. What a funny kid!

Snails, rain, & girlfriends...
The other day Bennett and I went outside and found tons of snails. They were all over our front yard (or whatever you would call our patch of grass out there!). So I apologize if this post seems a little overindulgent with pictures of my child, but it's so rare he will stay still long enough and actually look at the camera!
Hahaha, these crack me up. These pictures remind me of Kenny!
(love that his boots are on the wrong feet)
I love this little boy! And although 3 has been a bit naughtier of an age, he is still just precious as can be. I wish that I was better at writing down all the funny and hilarious things he says...but it is never as funny written down as it was when it happened. I think I need to just start hiding our video camera while we play everyday!
And these would be the latest girlfriends. Bennett LOVES these girls. They are always his first choice of house to go to. We will be so sad to move away from them!
The other day Becky watched Bennett for me and when he got home Kenny asked him if he had fun and what they did. Ken asked if they had a dog and Bennett said no, but they have Sawyer. Hahaha, what a crack-up!

Babies...
...i really like them. They are sure precious. Especially this cute little guy Manoa. I was able to do his birth a few weeks ago and then his new born pictures. Again, a little nervous since it was just using natural light and whatever else I could find. The studio is so predictable and easy but I sure do love the natural light.
Look how gorgeous Brooke's eyes are, they are not enhanced or edited at all!
Preciousness!
A few weeks ago we used these three stinkin' adorable little girls to model for some pictures for my friend Carlee and her boutique. They were all darling and did great. I think 6 months is one of my favorite ages to shoot though...they are smiley and happy but can't quit run from you yet. The weather was not cooperating so we did these inside next to a big beautiful window. This always stresses me just a little bit, I'm always nervous I won't find the best light or the background won't work out...but it worked out great. Thanks again Cheryl and Erin for your darling little girls!

April
This was Bennett throwing a huge fit over a water bucket! I need help! Our sweet little two year old turned into a three year old gargoyle. Ok, it's not that bad. But seriously, we never had these tantrums and fits until two weeks ago, the day he turned 3! Lucky for him he's so cute, otherwise he might just get locked away until he's out of this stage...
This was Friday (see above)...And this was two days later (see below). Spring in Utah, you just never know what you'll get.(sigh)
Our neighbor has the prettiest tree I've EVER seen. It just blossomed like 3 days ago. As much as I wish the sun and 60 degree weather would come back it did make for some awesome pictures.
